Nectarines

As with peaches, nectarines can be white or yellow, and clingstone or freestone. Nectarines are usually slightly smaller and sweeter than peaches, but with overlap in fruit qualities. Legend has it that chili seasoning was stumbled upon by a cook attempting to duplicate curry from American spices.
